The mess you’re used to, fixed
Merged cells vs clean columns
Before
Date, description, and amount jammed into one merged cell your spreadsheet app can't split apart.
After
Every value lands in its own typed column — date, description, debit, credit, running balance.
Scanned garbage vs validated numbers
Before
A scanned statement turns "$1,204.56" into "S/5,l204.5b" after a generic OCR pass.
After
Numbers are extracted semantically and checked against the statement's own math, not guessed character-by-character.
20 lines in one cell vs joined descriptions
Before
A wrapped transaction description spills into twenty phantom rows, one word each.
After
Multi-line descriptions are joined back into a single readable field, in the row it belongs to.
The reconciliation verdict
Every bank-statement export is checked against its own arithmetic: opening balance plus credits minus debits has to equal the closing balance. We re-derive that running balance from the rows we extracted and cross-check it row by row. If everything matches, you get a clean pass. If it doesn’t, we tell you exactly which rows to check instead of quietly shipping numbers that don’t add up.

Frequently asked questions
Does this work on scanned PDFs?
Yes. Scanned bank statements are detected automatically and flagged in the preview so you know the source was an image rather than embedded text, but extraction still runs and low-confidence values are highlighted for you to check.
Does it work on password-protected PDFs?
You'll need to remove the password before uploading — the extractor reads the file directly and can't prompt for a password mid-upload. Most PDF viewers can save an unlocked copy once you've entered the password once.
Which banks are supported?
Any bank. Extraction is semantic rather than template-based, so it isn't tied to a specific bank's layout — it reads the table structure of whatever statement you upload, whether that's a major retail bank or a small credit union.
What happens to my file afterward — privacy and deletion?
Files are processed on encrypted infrastructure in the EU and deleted automatically one hour after export. See the privacy policy for the full retention policy.
Can I get a refund?
Unused credit packs can be refunded within a reasonable window if the tool didn't work for your document — reach out through support and we'll sort it out.
