Weight converters

Weight (more strictly, mass) is measured in kilograms in the metric system and in pounds in the imperial and US customary systems. The metric system traces back to the post-revolution French Republic; the kilogram has been the SI base unit of mass since 1889. Conversion factors here are exact by the 1959 international avoirdupois agreement: 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg.
